Fighting again

The situation of the company is getting much harder nowadays, not many projects coming in, and the company is struggling financially to pay salaries
The situation of the branch in Manila is even harder, they are actually being sold to another company.

Now, it's the perfect time to find another job. The company seems to have run its course, my brother is already out of the country. I just need to push myself for the last day to finish this project, and then it's a new page of life.

============

The atmosphere in the Australian JMango is very sad, anh Duc doesn't have any project anymore for other developers, so only me and a couple of guys are pushing for the project to be done.

So it's hard time before a good time can come. Now, it's time to fight.

One of the things I learned in Melbourne is not to try to show off for the boss. Don't care about boss's emotions. Don't try to please the bosses, but focus on your true values.

If we try to work hard, wishing to show the great work to the boss, trying to please the bosses, to make them happy and impressed - these external motivations will not last long ... And these motivations can fire back - what if the boss is too hard to please? What if the boss doesn't like you? What if the boss wants so many things that we are just confused doing all of them without focus?

No, don't please the boss. Work for yourself. Work for your skills. Work for your values.

Work and learn. So that you are an expert. So that if your company goes bankrupt, you can still find job elsewhere. Work for yourself, so that you can find joy in achieving your personal goals.
Work for yourself, so that your happiness depends on what you really have, not the feelings of other people.

We don't have the responsibility to satisfy our boss. If we love our job, and do it well, we will get deep,  truly strong foundation for years later. If we just focus on pleasing the whims of bosses, doing unimportant things that the bosses want but not growing your skills - you lose out on the true values of skills, and the joy of work, and then when you are not really skilful anymore, the bosses don't need you anymore.

So, work and learn, then you don't have to worry about pleasing bosses. The best workers can work with any boss and are always praised for the job they do, because it's your skill set that truly matters.
